Brooke Hessler from
the Digital Story-telling Center in OKC OKC University, and affiliate of the Story Center at the UC Berkeley, will, indeed, be joining us this week for a discussion and demonstration of digital story-telling. Please make every effort to be in class, on time, inquisitive, and with bells on for this session. I think it will be a wonderful experience.
There are no readings for this week’s class, but do listen to Sarah Vowell’s story “Apocalypse, Act III: Again” from This American Life on NPR. Vowell is a native Oklahoman, and this story comments on some uniquely Oklahoman cultural traits. Note how the story, while a story, also speaks to larger questions about life, living, identity, and location.
